This medium bodied Marzen styled beer highlights a myriad of malty attributes. A deep ruby colored brew that hits the palate with rich toasty caramel malt flavors followed by the subdued toffee characteristics of a malt bill that features five different varieties of malted barley. Assertively hopped to maintain a balanced bitterness within this malt lover’s beer, BarrelHouse Oktoberfest Lager is the perfect companion to a breezy autumn afternoon.

"I was excited about this bomber considering Barrel House puts out some nice malty beverages. There is no doubt that this is an Oktoberfest Bier, but it falls short from being a great one. Nutty malt aroma with some strong caramel and a fair amount of noble hops. Clear amber color, small head, and spotty lacing. Medium to light bodied (especially for the style), finishes with a light clean bitterness. Tastes of caramel and roasted nuts. Sugary biscuits and a sharp hop flavor. A little off balance in the flavor. Overall this is decent, but it's too light for my liking."
