"KSBF 08 - Dark brown color. Roasted aroma, faint. Big chocolate malt flavor with lots of roast. Rich and full with a dry finish. Hey, not horrible! I'd drink it again at the right price."

"Bottle (22oz) from Topps in Tempe. The pour was dark brown in color, some mahoganey hues. The head was ok, lacing too. The aroma was chocolate, some coffee, also a berry fruit factor. The flavor was much the same as the aroma, not a bad melding of these things together along with a caramel-ness too. Mouthfeel was of moderate body for the style, some dryness, light to moderate carbonation. A nice little porter, though not something to die for."

"This porter pours a deep black color with nice red tinges from a 22oz bottle. Medium sized white foamy head, with strong long lasting lacing. Aroma is semi-sweet dark chocolate, some roast malts, touch of vanilla and floral hops. A medium bodied porter. Malts are semi-sweet chocolate and roasty malts. Hops are earthy and floral. Nice carbonation. Good balance. Crisp hops tend to balance the roasty malts. Nice crisp dry finish. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is crisp and dry. Aftertaste is slightly bitter. "

"Pretty standard porter. A brownish black appearance with a strong coffee aroma. The body is rather thin with the usual crew of flavas..chocolate, coffee, roasted malts. Some licorice in the finish. Not bad."
