A typical Flemish beer with a pleasant wine-like taste and a rich past. This dark brown beer is matured in oak casks.

"Bottled. Deep ambery red colour with mediumsized beige head. Aroma is sour fruits and wood along with some mild notes of earth and vanilla. Flavour is acidic fruits along with wood, some caramel and red berries. Aftertaste gets rather sweet, even though the sourness does show it's signs also here. Very smooth to drink, and not one of the really sour & acidic ones. "

"Bottle: Poured a clear red colored beer with a small head that quickly disappeared. Aroma of oak is clearly present thought not has much as in other example such as Rodenbach. Taste is slightly tart with some nice touch of oak and very subtle cheery. Probably of the best effort from this brewery."

"Looks like an altbier, dark brown with a frothy light brown head. Aroma is sweet and sour, cider like. Quite a nice gently sour, fruity taste. Astringent. I like this."
