"Pours nearly opaque with a hint of burgandy light making its way through. Nice, tight light brown head. Aroma seems very woodsy. Its mouthfeel seems amazingly lacking for a stout. Very sharp and light. The flavor is good though with hints of coffee and roasted items. This stout has distinct flavor. Nothing that is mind-blowing but it is a worthy candidate for a stout tasting party."

"This brew pours a deep black opaque colour with a fairly large tan head. Aromas of oak, smoke chocolate and coffee, it has a firm mouthfeel, moderately dry with a whirlpool of flavors. Coffee, cocoa, tobacco and beef jerky. It has this effect on the palate because of its dryness that induces this watery reaction in my mouth which accents the taste and brings out more flavors. Overall, wicked tastey, one of the best stouts ive tasted in a while. "

[3] Review by Brett from Far from good beer, OK, USA who has tried this beer once. (9/10/2007 8:35:13 PM)
"Sampled from bottle. Pours clear, dark black/brown. On the low side of the srm scale for the style. Great head and lacing. The aroma is pretty bold with toasted/roasted malts - reminiscent of almost burnt toast & morning coffee. Very nice. The flavor is slightly bitter with roasted barley lingering in the finish. The FG is perhaps a little high for the style, but at least there is some mouthfeel in this dry stout, so... no problem for me there. Very nice beer."

"Pours black with average head & awesome lacing. Smells sweet, chocolately and delicious. The flavor boasts a lot of malty elements including earth, roastiness, and dark chocolate balanced by an impressively ample amount of hops. Truly a dry stout. Medium bodied, well carbonated with a clean finish that leaves the palate feeling, yes, I'll say it, dry. Really a fine example of the style."

"It has a strong aroma of roasted malts, coffee and lots of semi-sweet chocolate. It is medium bodied and tastes of roasted malts and some chocolate up front with a very bitter, coffee-like, dry finish. Overall, a nice dry stout. The hops are very bold, but not quite over the top."
