"Off to a good start with a four-fingered foamy tan head capping a quite dark (but not black) body. Aroma was dark, too, with some nice dark malt notes and probably some hop undertones. Flavour was not really to my liking, being "burnt", and I found the mouthfeel on the light side. So-so finish, maybe a bit sweet. I was disappointed with this beer."

"Nice chocolaty nose, but the flavour is much more complex than that. Oak mingled with roasted nuts to make a perfect beverage for a cold winter's night"

"Lacing is Grade A ... smooth down the throat but a bit to cultured ... not the most flawless blackers but a good beginner .... " he's mental for those snausages" ... drinkable but quite neutral..."

"This schwarzbier pours a deep brown color from a 12oz bottle. Medium to large sized white foamy head. Aroma is slightly coffee, roasted malt with a touch of cola. A medium to light bodied schwarzbier. Malts are roasty and slightly cola-ish. It’s a touch thin and watery, which helps accentuate the cola like flavors. The lively carbonation helps with that as well. Very drinkable beer. Mouthfeel is a touch thin. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly sweet. "
