Brewed by Arendals Bryggeri, the second oldest Norwegian brewery (after Aass) that is still brewing. It is now a Ringnes subsidiary. Arendals Pils won 'The Brewing Industry International Award' 1996. The beer has a golden, summery yellow colour, and a mild, sweet aroma. The exclusive Saazer hops give a mellow and rounded flavour with subtle and balanced notes of fruits.
Beer Ratings and Reviews:
[1] Review by Sigmund from Hafrsfjord, Norway who has tried this beer many times. (10/17/2006 6:22:02 PM)
"Used to be my favourite Norwegian pilsener for a (rare) warm summer's day, easy drinking but a lot better than the various tasteless "sommerĝl" (summer specials) being marketed these days. Arendals Pils is still being being brewed in Arendal, one of Norway's "summer towns" on the South Coast, but Ringnes have been threatening to close Arendals Bryggeri. This refreshing pils could still use a little more hoppy "bite"."
