Created in the same vein as Alexander Keith's India Pale Ale, Alexander Keith's Light Ale is light in colour and hopped in flavour. Available only in Nova Scotia and PEI, Keith's Light Ale is known as a light tasting ale whose subtle black licorice/anise notes contribute to it's character. There is also a light ester undertone that is indicative of the floral/fruity nose of Keith's Light Ale.
In terms of flavour, Alexander Keith's Light Ale is known for it's clean bitterness, a slightly sweet/malty flavour and a light body. Keith's Light Ale is also smooth and well balanced. Alexander Keith's Light Ale is brewed in Nova Scotia and is a great complement to the region's most popular beer. With an alcohol content of 4% volume, it has a very clean taste and is highly drinkable. With a slightly lighter taste than Alexander Keith's IPA, Keith's Light Ale is best served between 3° to 5°C (37 and 41°F).
