"Well, I look at this beer in a glass and I think, that's a nice beer. But them I smell it and it smells grainy. And then I take a mouthful, and its weak bodied with ample carbonation, and then I taste it...and I wonder what all the fuss is about. It tastes as good (or bad) as any other macro-swill"

"Standard crummy gold with big bubbs. Highlight here is the retention of a creamy white cap with nice lacing...go figure. The aroma is odd....fresh sour apple, slight malt, slight something else...whatever. Needs more. Taste is overall bland and I've never seen what the rage is all about, This has seriously lacked in flavour as long as I've known. Saying that, I have to say that the flavour is solid and never really bad so I guess that is what brings the peeps over from the standard Canadian or Labatt stuff. Some not quite standard Canadain malts, middle fruitness, man, it's dry. Finishes a bit flat, OK carbonation. Dry finish. Brutal on most taps in the city. I'll actually take this out of the bottle first. I must say ths though - THIS IS NO IPA. PERIOD. Just a better beer alternative. I don't entirely agree with it being classified as an IPA, and I'm not thinking American IPA either. LAGER. "

"20oz draught
5.0% ABV
I tried this beer on July 13, 2007 at Casey's Bar and Grill in Toronto, Ontario, Canada (123 Front St W location). The beer was a translucent pale gold colour with little or no head. Aroma? What aroma? I seriously thought I was smelling water. The mouthfeel was crisp and clean with quite a bit of carbonation. The taste was weak and thin-bodied. I followed it up with a Keith's Red....and that was a mistake in and of itself."

"In my opinion this was kind of a sad attempt at an IPA. This beer poured a medium golden color topped off by a smallish white head that left minimal lace down the sides of the glass. The aroma was very mild with some weak hops and slightly sweet malts. The body was light to medium bodied and very drinkable. The flavor just came up very short as far as IPAs go no real hoppy bite that you really look for in the style, at best this could be a decent session beer when only macro lagers are availible."

"Pours out pale yellow with small white head. Aroma is fairly average. In my books this is not really an ipa. Good clean taste definitely better than most domestic beer. This ale is quite refreshing on a hot day! Drink very cold."
