"From a bottle. Pours a hazy yellow with a thick white head. Aroma is floral and hoppy. Flavor is fantastic. Citrusy and well balanced. Excellent bitterness at the finish. A great beer. "

"Aroma was full of flowery hops with just a hint of sweetness to it. The first sip was actually shocking as to how much hops could be shoved, yes shoved, into a beer. I've had my fair share of hoppy beers, but DAMN! Without hesitation I would have to say this is one of the most hoppy beers I have tried. The best part was that it was extremely drinkable and well balanced. I let my pops have a sip and it about turned his face inside out...to me that's funny. Great beer and I'm bummed I only bought one. If you're lucky enough to see this beer at your local store, buy two and shoot me a beermail to find out where you can send one of them. :)"

"A friend brought me this beer last Christmas (2006 Vintage), and I finally decided to get around to trying it. Surprisingly, it tasted great. Orangy brown in colour, with a thin head. The aroma was all hops. Florals filled the room. The flavour was all citrusy hops. A great beer."

"Poured out fairly hazy dark orange / brown brew with lots of miniscule stuff trapped. Got a big, thick light tan creamy cap with incredible retention and guinness like lacing. The aroma is awesome and comes across thick with caramel malt to along with weak pine, tons of citrus (orange, grapefruit), tart raspberry hard candy, and a touch of wood me thinks. The taste is awesome as well: sweet all the way through with lemon and pine hops, mint, caramel and chocolate. Very smooth mouth feel, full bodied and clean, good malty finish with a bitterness that does not overwhelm the taste buds. Excellent beer."

"Bottled. 2007 Summer Edition. Pours out in a hazy pale amber colour with a rich white foam. Compact hop aroma of pine-needles, grapefruit and grass with a dense yet elegant malt base of caramel and spunned sugar. Medium to full-bodied with strong notes of caramel, pine-needles, mild cedar-wood, orange-peels and grapefruit. Full and compact mouthfeel without being way too bold. Long bitter finish of grapefruit, blood oranges, leaves and grass with a solid caramelly malt foundation. Tastes great but why did I saved it in my closet until mid February? I cannot imagine how this tasted fresh last summer...why did I cellared it? I’m an idjit! Great, great DIPA with a bold yet elegant palate. World-class. Yes, I need more stuff from Alesmith. Now!"
