On the run from the Sheriff of Nottingham, Will Gamewell, a cousin of Robin Hood, first came to Sherwood Forest in striking scarlet attire for which he is forever known by name. Will Scarlet was robust, courageous in battle and fiercely loyal to his fellow outlaws. He enjoyed all of his pursuits, including imbibing copious quantities of beer, with gusto equalled by few.
This is a traditional English style strong bitter, amber in colour, full bodied with pronounced hop character. This beer is the perfect accompaniment to typical English pub dinners such as roast beef and yorkshire pudding and steak and kidney pie.
