Floreffe Blonde is brewed from water drawn from our own well and with spring barley malt. Its subtle bitterness comes from a specially selected blend of hops. During the boil, candy sugar is added together with some ground spices. After the fermentation and maturation are complete, the beer is clarified in a centrifuge, without filtration. Although it can become slightly cloudy when served cold, Floreffe Blonde always retains its inimitable aroma. Like all the beers in the Floreffe range, it is Recognized Belgian Abbey Beer approved.

"I heard this was a poor man's Orval. Well, they were right. It's a nice golden orange with a thich head, and nice spicy aroma. The flavour was certainly weaker than Orval, but still fairly decent. "

"Hazy dark golden with a rich fluffy white foam. Banana, cloves, bubblegum, cumin, yeast and lemon-peels in the aroma. Sweet and yeasty flavour of oranges, vanilla and spunned sugar. Yeasty finish of white bread, dried oranges and mild herbal hops. "

"Golden colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is yeast, grain, sweat and slight malts. Flavour is fruit, wheat, caramel, alcohol and slight honey. A rather sweet brew, which makes it hard to drink. "

[5] Review by Chopz from Cantley, Canada who has tried this beer once. (12/7/2006 2:09:56 AM)
"Came in a mix pack of the brewery, with 8 different bottles in all. Best before date says L05102007. This blonde one pours a clean golden-amber colour with a nice frothy white head and decent retention. Slow carbonation is all-over and lacing is pretty good. The nose has that distinctive Belgian yeast smell, with light fruit, grain malt and spices. The mouthfeel is a bit on the weak side. The taste is mild with the yeast showing up, and grain, spices with hardly any aftertaste. Just one of those easy drinking Belgian swill."
