"Quite an enjoyable beer and suprised to find it listed as an Abbey Tripel, because it screams Abbey Dubbel. Either way, it’s a tasty beverage.
The aroma is figs, plums, dust and a touch of sassafrass. Flavor is strong dark fruits, molasses, dark candi sugar with just a touch of dirty penny. Still confused at how this is listed as a Tripel though."

"Pours with a crystal clear, amber body topped by a medium thick head with some lacing. IT’s sweet and malty with notes of arnge zest and spice, as well as bisuity notes. Meidum bodied and highly carbonated."

"Yet another Belgian ale I found recently and I hope it is good. Aroma on this brew offer ripened, dark plums as well as pears with some yeasty overtones and even some very faint woody or smokey nuiances with some faint, dark Belgian rock candy coming through. Appearance is a very rich and dark burgundy-red in color when held to the light with a well-carbonated head on top that is creamy and a light reddish-tan in color and remains on top leaving creamy lacing on the glass that is even. Mouthfeel is medium in body with quality malty complexity as well as sugary balance with a palate that is creamy and smooth, as well as velvety, and coats rather well and is very good. Flavor is of dark prunes and plum with some earthy overtones as well as some fig with an aftertaste that is sweet and bready and slightly cloying with a finish that is robust and full with much complexity and is decent. Overall, not the greatest tripel here but not bad in any respect and is quality fare for sure and not my first choice if I want a Belgian-style tripel but, nonetheless, a solid libation... "
