Big O is an organic version of the traditional English Strong Ale style. While not at the high end of this style in alcohol content, it boasts a respectable 6.8% ABV. It has a bracing hop bitterness balanced by mild alcohol warmth and a rich roasted malt character. New Zealand Pacific Gem Organic Hops were used for bittering with English Organic East Kent Goldings and Organic Cascade Hops from the Pacific Northwest provide hop flavor and a very mild earthy and citrus hop aroma. An ample amount of dark roasted malt of English and Belgian style (all organically grown) give this brew a deep color and slight toffee and coffe-like finish. This is definitely a brew to be savored with good food.

"A nice strong ale with a beautiful dark amber-brown color and a strong hoppy smell. Taste is rich and hoppy, with smoky undertones and just a tad of bitterness. It feels smooth in the mouth and when going down the hatch. I have yet to be disappointed by any offering at 5 Seasons, and this met my expectations of their excellent brews."

"This has a light, clean maltiness with a touch of peppery hops. It pours a dark tea color. This isn’t all that interesting of a beer, but it is quite refreshing. Seems like it’d be a great summer beer for hanging out."

"A nice brew. Roasted malt and a background of citrus hops are at the forefront in the aroma. Good looking brew, deep deep red to brownish in color with ample off-white head. A tad thin in the mouthfeel for a strong ale, IMO. Good flavor, malty with an even balance of hops with a bit of a coffee background. I'd probably try it again if given the opportunity."
