Pilsener originated in what is now the Czech Republic. And, like true Czech Pilsners, ours is aggressively hopped early in the boil giving it a clean crispness without a hoppy flavor. It is brewed entirely with superior German Pilsen malt to give it a pale straw color, a thick, lasting rocky head and a palate dominated by maltiness. Fresh Czech Saaz hops provide a delicate spicy aroma. Phoenix Pils is named for the brewmaster's original brewery

"This is the best pilsner I have ever had! Pours a beautiful golden opaque amber so it looks like honey. Aroma is hoppy with some maltiness and a hint of lemon. Rich flavor has a nice balance of hops and malt, along with a lemony overtone. Aftertaste is very pleasant and smooth. Satisfying and refreshing, this is another winner from Five Seasons!"

"This one’s got a nice white soupy head over a deep gold body. The aroma smells sharply of noble hops. The flavor is similarly dominated by the grassy hops. A little on the sweet side for the style, but still fairly dry. Nice malt background."
