Back on April 7, 1933 President Roosevelt upheld a campaign promise and modified the Volstead Act (Prohibition) which allowed once again for the production and sale of beer and set the stage for the passage of the 21st Amendment on December 5th 1933. We are celebrating the 75th year anniversary of this date with a special brew, Repeal Rye. Come in and enjoy a pint and the start of the Giants' baseball season.

"On tap at O’briens. Pours with a deep anber-red body topped by a medium thick, off-white head with some lacing. It’s sweet and malty with a nice rye note and a slight underlying bitterness. Medium bodied and smooth."

"Tasted at the 5th Annual (2008) Triple Rock Firkin Fest. This rye ale poured a medium orange gold color. Small head. The aroma is fruity and sweet, with a touch of hops. A medium bodied rye ale. The malts are fruity and sweet, with a touch of spiciness. The hops are earthy and floral. The firkin brings out a touch of spiciness. Nice soft carbonation. Nice balance. Very smooth taste. Would make a nice session ale. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter."
