"On tap at Zorbaz, Detroit Lakes. I had high hopes for this. Considering Furious is one of my favorite beers, I expected this to be as good or better. Aroma is piney, floral hops with a hint of citrus. Malt is almost undetectable. Taste is just bitter. An excellent, strong beer but missing some of the complexity and drinkability of Furious. (rated this 4.1 on 5/16/09)
This was re-released as Abrasive Ale in 2010--picked up a four-pack for 15.00 (reviewed 5/5/10). Expensive but definitely worth it. This is one of my new top-5 beers. Aroma is an awesome combination of pine trees and grapefruit. No balance at all. Taste is straight up bitter hops and leaves a nice, oily coating on the mouth. Excellent!!"
